Documenting war damage

How to prove war damage with a State Emergency Service (SESU) act, who can see it and how the “War damage confirmed” badge is earned.

Why it matters

A confirmed damage record gives your project the “War damage confirmed” badge and lets investors find it with the filter “War-damaged businesses only”. It also supports the Score indicators that describe the situation of the asset.

How to add it

  1. In the project wizard, on Basics, tick “The asset was damaged or destroyed as a result of the war”.
  2. On the Documents step, upload the damage inspection report issued by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU / ДСНС), or another official document accepted under our verification rules.
  3. Keep the access level as “Owner and moderators only”. The SESU report is stored with this access and used only for the badge.
  4. Submit the project. A moderator compares the document with the object and the organisation and, if it matches, grants the badge.

Who can see the document

Only you and EUROBRIDGE moderators can open the damage report. It is not shown on the public page and is not part of the Deal Room unless you choose to share a separate file there. Investors see only the badge and the factual description you wrote.

Tip: Do not publish personal data of employees or residents in the public description.

Tips for a document that passes quickly

  • Upload a legible PDF or image, up to 20 MB, with all pages.
  • Make sure the address and the date of the inspection are visible and that the name matches the registered owner or user of the asset.
  • If the act refers to several objects, say in the description which of them belongs to the project.
  • If you hold other evidence, such as photographs, insurance correspondence or an expert assessment, add it as supporting documents.

Other badges

The badge “War damage confirmed” is separate from the other trust badges: Checked against registers, Sanctions screened, Signed with QES and Confirmed by partner. Each one is granted after its own check, and the verification level L0–L2 summarises how far the checks have gone.

After you submit

The moderator checks the document together with the organisation’s registry data. If something does not match, you receive a remark and can upload a corrected file. Once the badge is granted it appears on the project card and page.

If you do not have the SESU report yet, save the draft and add the document later. The badge appears only after the document has been checked.
